What Matters

What’s the most rewarding part of helping a client buy or sell a property?

It usually comes a year or two after the transaction, when getting the call saying “we’ve already outgrown our space” or “we’re ready to open up a second store.” It’s invigorating to see clients succeed, and it’s rewarding to know that I got to play a very tiny part in it.

Where are you seeing opportunity today?

Good, path of growth development sites in growing submarkets on major nodes. They simply can’t make any more of it, and the values continue to go up.

How does working across services benefit your clients?

When a client utilizes our services all under one roof and problems come up, they can be solved rather quickly when a broker, property manager, asset manager, or lease administrator can walk down the hall to discuss with one another. It sounds simple, but I really believe that the collaboration and quick communication is a big cost-saver for our clients, for things such as minimizing vacancy loss or controlling operating expenses.

How do you stay connected to the local market outside the office?

Walking. Put your shoes on and grab a coffee and explore a submarket- you never know what you might see, and you’d be surprised what you can learn.
