What Matters

What’s the most rewarding part of helping a client buy or sell a property?

Among several things, what I find most rewarding is providing a necessary service to landowners and buyers who might feel overwhelmed or nervous about jumping into this industry and may need a guiding hand throughout the process. Helping someone sell their farm, timber, hunting property, or whatever it may be, is not something that we take lightly. Being a member of this team means we do have a passion for the outdoors and rural properties, but also in having great people skills and being well informed in all aspects of rural land.

What do clients value most after working with you?

I think clients would value the level of dedication that I bring to my work, as well as how I strive to treat people across the board in our business. They also know that I am accessible most hours of the day because I genuinely care and want all clients to feel heard and seen. Most of all, I want everyone that I work with to feel the level of respect that I display as I go about this job every single day.

What role does collaboration play across Commonwealth’s service lines?

It’s a very exciting time to be on the Land Team, as we are merging with our timber component, thus strengthening our foothold across the state. From the moment I arrived here, a Team First approach has been emphasized and truly has been a joy to collaborate with teammates whether they work in retail, office, land or industrial. We certainly are just one big family.

How do you stay connected to the local market outside the office?

I stay involved in several local, rural organizations back home in Southampton that helps me stay connected with people and news across the rural market.

What makes Commonwealth Commercial different from other firms?

I think the answer has to be the people. While we are not the biggest firm in the area, it’s hard to argue with the caliber of people that we have working here. Since our inception, hiring people of high character and fostering that culture has helped us maintain an incredible workplace.
