Hartley is a member of Commonwealth’s Retail Sales & Leasing team, which he joined in August 2024. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business, where he competed as a NCAA Division I lacrosse player. He later earned a Graduate Certificate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2024, while continuing his Division I lacrosse career.

He specializes in helping emerging and high-growth brands and franchise systems expand into new markets through data-driven site selection, market strategy, and retail real estate advisory. He has worked with tenants and operators including 7Brew, Royal Farms, Sam’s Xpress Car Wash, and Verizon.

Outside of brokerage, Hartley is active in his faith and family life and enjoys time outdoors—golf, tennis, and coaching lacrosse.
