A native of Norfolk, VA Eliza joined the Commonwealth office sales and leasing team as an associate in February 2018. Eliza works alongside our experienced office team members where she specializes in strategic Landlord listings representing both local and institutional owners/clients in Central Virginia.

Prior to pursuing a career in commercial real estate, Eliza worked in the Information Technology (IT) staffing industry. Her role involved placing highly technical professionals in positions concentrated in accounting, finance and engineering industries. Through this experience she gained vast insight into commercial office needs and dynamics sparking her interest in real estate.

Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication from James Madison University

What Matters

What does being a true partner to your clients mean to you?

Being a true partner means understanding a client’s business, not just their real estate. My job is to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and help guide decisions with the same care I would if it were my own. The goal is always creating long-term value, not just getting a deal done.

What separates a good deal from a great one?

A good deal checks the basic boxes. A great deal supports a client’s broader strategy whether that means flexibility for growth, reducing risk, or creating value over time. The best outcomes happen when the real estate truly aligns with the client’s business goals.

How do you help clients see opportunities others might miss?

Usually it’s just about looking a little deeper. Paying attention to market activity, lease expirations, and how tenants are actually using space can uncover opportunities that others might not immediately see.

What do you enjoy most about working at Commonwealth?
