Ben provides acquisition, disposition, leasing, development and consulting services to industrial, office and investment clients throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Experience

Born and raised in Richmond, VA, Ben joined Commonwealth’s Sales and Leasing team in 2014. His primary focus is in the Industrial and Office markets. Ben provides representation to Landlords/Sellers and Tenants/Buyers throughout Virginia. While at Commonwealth, Ben has worked with a wide variety of clients from institutional to local companies to act as their “in-house” commercial real estate advisor. Ben has proven his ability to communicate effectively with clients through the real estate process to achieve strong results.

Bachelor of Arts with majors in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Elon University

What’s the most rewarding part of helping a client buy, sell, or lease a property?

Industrial real estate is unique in that value extends beyond negotiating favorable economic terms. The right property can significantly improve a business’s operational efficiency through better loading, more functional warehouse layouts, improved clear heights, and column spacing. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to identify the right opportunities and negotiate terms that support their long-term success.

What do clients value most after working with you?

I take an honest, straightforward approach that helps clients efficiently solve problems and arrive at meaningful solutions. My goal is to build lasting relationships to help clients address their needs today and earning the opportunity to work with them again 20 years from now.

What do you enjoy most about working at Commonwealth?

Commonwealth is made up of smart, ethical, and genuinely enjoyable people. I value the collaborative environment and the opportunity to learn something new from my teammates every day. I’m also fortunate to consider many of them close friends outside of the office.

Favorite way to spend the weekend?

Most weekends revolve around time with my wife, our three young daughters, and our chocolate lab. We enjoy being outdoors and making the most of everything Richmond has to offer. In the summer, we especially enjoy heading to Deltaville to spend time on the water.
